The Pirate baseball team is off to its best start in years, posting a 3-1 record with the lone setback coming in extra innings. At the plate, Sophomore center fielder Hunter Klingelhoffer has been on a tear, hitting .412/.421/.765 with seven hits in 17 at bats. He has three doubles an a home run to go with his four runs batted in and four runs scored. At Mt. San Jacinto he scored the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth after getting on board with a two-out single. He has recorded a hit and scored a run in each of the Pirates' first four games, logging an extra base knock in each of the past three outings. Hunter, who hails from Olympia, WA,has been named this week's M & M Sports VC Pirate Student Athlete of the Week.
