The No. 2 team of Armonee Hunter and Kasie Spencer clinched the afternoon match with their three-set victory after giving up just 22 points in the morning match.

VC (4-3) shut out PCC Club in the opening match of the day 5-0 before winning a convincing 4-1 decision over Antelope Valley in the second. Sofia Gomez and Jordan Neria at No. 4 and Carina Cates and Danielle Garcia at No. 5 were each dominant in taking two matches on the day, allowing 37 and 38 points, respectively, in their four sets.

The Pirates (1-1) defeated Rio Hondo 3-2 in the opener before falling 5-0 to Grossmont College. The Pirates' No. 5 team of Danielle Garcia and Carina Cates had the biggest win of the day, sweeping their opponents from Rio Hondo 21-8, 21-12.
