Comets Drop VC in COS Finale
The Pirates' men's basketball team dropped the consolation final at the Pepsi-Holiday Inn Tournament at the College of the Sequoias to the Contra Costa Comets Sunday afternoon, 75-64 in Visalia. Ivan Dooley led the Pirate effort with 22 points while Jon McMurry had 10 points witha team-high six rebounds. Jalen Young dished out five assists for the Pirates (7-8).

MEN'S BASKETBALL: The Pirates' men's basketball team dropped the consolation final at the Pepsi-Holiday Inn Tournament at the College of the Sequoias to the Contra Costa Comets Sunday afternoon, 75-64 in Visalia. Ivan Dooley led the Pirate effort with 22 points while Jon McMurry had 10 points witha team-high six rebounds. Jalen Young dished out five assists for the Pirates (7-8).
Ventura heads into the Christmas break with a few days off before returning to practice to prepare for their final non-conference test of the season, at home against Citrus on Saturday Jan. 4. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
