Men's Tennis Shuts Out Glendale
The Ventura College men's tennis team traveled to Glendale for a Western State Conference match and came home with a 9-0 victory. Hironori Koyanagi, Diego Rodrigues and Guenter Newman were able to pick up wins on the singles and doubles side of play.
The Ventura College men's tennis team traveled to Glendale for a Western State Conference match and came home with a 9-0 victory. Hironori Koyanagi, Diego Rodrigues and Guenter Newman were able to pick up wins on the singles and doubles side of play.
Koyanagi and Rodrigues team up fora 8-1 win in the No. 1 doubles play. Newman was a winner on the No. 2 doubles side and then claimed a win in No. 2 singles play. Ventura did not drop a set on the singles side of play winning all six matches in straight sets.
Ventura is now 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in WSC play. They will return home on Thurs. Feb. 25 for a 2:00 pm contest against Los Angeles Pierce. Then they will play host to Bakersfield College on Tues. Mar. 1. Both matches will be Western State Conference matches.
