Pirate Softball Seeded No. 11 in SoCal Playoffs
The VC softball team will be playing in the post-season. The Pirates (27-12) have been seeded No. 11 in the Southern California Regional Playoffs and will travel to No. 6 Palomar (31-7) in San Marcos Friday and Saturday May 6 and 7 for a best-of-three-series. Game 1 is set for a 2:00 pm first pitch on Friday.

Ventura placed second in the Western State Conference North Division with a 10-2 conference mark. They were 8-10 this season against opponents in the 18-team SoCal Playoff field.
Palomar, meanwhile, finished the season with a 31-7 overall mark, finishing first in the Pacific Coast Conference with a 10-2 record. The Comets were 11-6 against playoff teams during the 2022 campaign.
Game 2 of the series will begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday May 7 with Game 3, if necessary, following at 2:00 pm in San Marcos.
