Midnight Madness Coming to Ventura College Friday Oct. 2

The Ventura College men's basketball team will tip-off the 2015-16 season with its annual Midnight Madness intrasquad scrimmage Friday night at midnight.  The evening will begin at 10:00 pm at the Athletic Event Center with high school scrimmages and 3-point shooting and dunk contests, followed by the Pirates at the stroke of midnight under fifth-year head coach Joey Ramirez.  

High school scrimmages will begin the evening at 10:00 pm, featuring Ventura vs. Rio Mesa followed by Buena vs. Oxnard.  The scrimmages will be followed by 3-point shooting and dunk contests featuring high school players and memberd of the 2015-16 Ventura College team.  

The Pirates will take the floor at the stroke of midnight for a 30-minute intrasquad scrimmage, giving fans a preview of the upcoming season.

Admission for the evening's events is $5 for all fans.

VC will open the regular season with the We Play Hard Tip-Off Tournament November 5-7 at the Athletic Event Center.
