Men's Golf places sixth in WSC-Antelope Valley
The Pirates' men's golf team finished a disappointing sixth in the Western State Conference event hosted by Antelope Valley College at Rancho Vista Golf Course in Palmdale. Freddie Carcamo fired an even par 72 to lead Ventura on the day, finishing in a tie for fourth place individually.
The Pirates' men's golf team finished a disappointing sixth in the Western State Conference event hosted by Antelope Valley College at Rancho Vista Golf Course in Palmdale. Freddie Carcamo fired an even par 72 to lead Ventura on the day, finishing in a tie for fourth place individually.
In addition to Carcamo's even-par score, Donovan Chappell tied for 18th with a 4-over 76. Nathan Schultz and Caden Raines completed the Pirates' team score with an 82 and an 83, respectively. Other VC golfers included Matthew Jones with an 85 and Stephen Ong at 86.
Canyons won their seventh straight WSC event with a 284 and Santa Barbara was second with a 297. Despite the disappointing day, the Pirates remain third in the conference standings.
VC next travels to the WSC event hosted by Citrus College on Monday April 13 at San Dimas Golf Club.
