Men's Tennis Continues WSC Roll with Win Over GCC
The Ventura College men's tennis team continued to roll over Western State Conference competition Thursday with a 7-2 win over Glendale at the VC Tennis Center. VC's No. 1 player Caua Coimbra was a douoble winner, leading the way with a triumph in the top doubles match with Abladj Mondroha and with a win in No. 1 singles. Mondroha, Shingo Ono and Victor Pryrebonne were also double-winners on the day.

Mondroha, Shingo Ono and Victor Peyrebonne were also double-winners on the day.
The Pirates took the early lead winning two of the three doubles contests. Coimbra and Mondroha prevailed in the No. 1 slot with a 9-7 win while Ono and Peyrebonne claimed the No. 3 doubles match, 8-3.
Coimbra fought hard to a three-set win in the top singles match, coming from behind to win 6-7, 6-3, 10-8. Peyrebonne won in the No. 3 slot 6-4, 6-1 and Mondroha claimed Court 4, 6-3, 6-3. Ariitea Cotti-Helme won his No. 5 singles contest, 6-2, 6-3, while Ono won in the No. 6 slot, 6-0, 7-5.
VC next travels to Bakersfield Friday and Saturday, Mar. 20 and 21, for the North/South Challenge Phister Cup matches.
