Pirate Offense Stymied at Cerritos
The Ventura College softball team was unable to produce any runs in their 8-0 loss at Cerritos Thursday. The Pirates (2-2) managed just five hits in the game led by Alyssa Frutos with a pair of base hits. Justine De La Rosa was 1-2 with a double while Christina Hart and Arianna Rivas both batted 1-2.

Anissa Padilla struck out four Falcons from the pitcher's circle while taking the loss.
VC will host its home opener on Friday Feb. 10 at 2;30pm against Antelope Valley College.
