Pirate Men & Women Each 3rd; Monroe WSC AOY

The VC men's and women's swimming and Diving teams each finished third at the Western State Conference Championships held Thursday through Saturday at Santa Monica. Jaiden Monroe won three individual golds for the Ventura men, including a record-setting performance in the 100-yard butterfly to earn WSC Male Athlete of the Year honors. Olivia Badaracco also won an individual gold with two silver medals for the Pirate women.

Pirate Swimming Second at WSC No. 3

The VC men's and women's swimming and diving teams each finished second Friday at the Western State Conference No. 3 meet at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria. Jaiden Monroe led the men with a apir of gold medals and a silver while Olivia Badaracco claimed three individual third-place finishes.

Pirate Men and Women Both 3rd at WSC #2

The Pirates' men's and women's swimming and diving teams both came in third of nine teams at the Western State Conference No. 2 meet at Santa Monica Saturday. Jaiden Monroe paced the men's team with three gold medal swims while Olivia Badaracco added a first- and a second-place finish to her individual accomplishments. VC's 400-yard medley relay team of Nick Santander, Michael Ramirez, Luigi Travi and Monroe also claimed a first-place finish.
