VC swimming standouts Jaiden Monroe, Olivia Badaracco and Faith Marshall all earned individual 3C2A All-American accolades as published by the California Community College Swim & Dive Coaches Association. Monroe was named All-American in six individual events and as part of three relays while Badaracco earned All-American honors in five individual events and with four relays. Marshall is a two-event All-American individualy and in four relays.
VC's Jaiden Monroe claimed gold in the 100-yard backstroke on Friday and Olivia Badaracco bested her own school record in the 100-yard backstroke Friday as the Pirates competed in the 3C2A State Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday through Saturday at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. Both the Ventura men's and women's teams placed 14th overall out of 31 scoring teams on each side.
Jaiden Monroe set three meet records and broke a pair of school standards in earning three gold medals and the conference male athlete of the year at the Western State Conference Championship at Thursday through Saturday. Faith Marshall set a pair of school records and one meet record with her two individual golds and Olivia Badaracco also set a meet standard and earned two firsts in the three-day event at Los Angeles Valley. Thomas Shea also added two individual gold medal performances for the Pirates.
Jaiden Monroe won three events, two with meet records and Olivia Badaracco claimed a pair of gold medals over the weekend to lead the VC swimming and diving teams at the Bob Miyashiro Invitational at Santa Rosa Junior College. Faith Marshall won a pair of silver medals and set a new school record in the process. The Pirate men were eighth overall out of 13 competing teams and the VC women placed ninth as a team.
Pirate swimmer Jaiden Monroe won a pair of individual golds along with a silver, and anchored a winning relay team Saturday to help the VC men to a second place finish at the Western State Conference No. 2 meet at Los Angeles Valley. Thomas Shea won both diving events and was also on the gold medal-winning relay team. Olivia Badaracco won a pair of races to lead the Pirate women to a fourth place team finish of 10 teams.
The VC men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened their 2026 schedule Saturday hosting the Larry Baratte Invitational at the Ventura Aquatic Center. Gold medal performances from Jaiden Monroe and Thomas Shea led the Pirate men to a second place finish while Alex Williams earned a bronze to help the Ventura women to finish fourth place as a team.
