McClain, De Marco on Women's Tennis All-WSC Team

Ventura College sophomores Tricia McClain and Allie De Marco were named 2018 women's tennis All-Western State Conference in a ceremony held last month at the VC Tennis Center. McClain earned the first team nod at the No. 6 singles position while De Marco was named second-team All-WSC at No. 3 singles.

Ventura College sophomores Tricia McClain and Allie De Marco were named 2018 women's tennis All-Western State Conference in a ceremony held last month at the VC Tennis Center. McClain earned the first team nod at the No. 6 singles position while De Marco was named second-team All-WSC at No. 3 singles.

McClain was a perfect 6-0 in the No. 6 slot in WSC play for the Pirates in2018, and also was 3-0 at No. 5. He only loss in singles play in the conference was at No. 4.

De Marco, meanwhile, had an 8-2 mark in No. 3 singles during WSC competition and was also 2-0 at No. 2 singles.

The Pirates finished the season 12-8 overall and 9-5 in conference play, good for a tie for third place in the standings.
