The VC women's tennis team hosted Los Angeles Mission Thursday, falling to the Western State Conference frontrunners, 8-1. Ella Morgan earned the Pirates' lone point of the day with a three-set win in No. 6 singles.

In double splay, Kira Branson teamed up with Isabella DeRosa in the No. 2 slot, battling their opponents to a tough 8-6 loss.
In singles, Morgan outlasted her opponent to claim the 6-2, 3-6, 11-9 victory for VC's lone point of the day.
Ventura will next host Bakersfield on Tuesday Mar. 10.
