Pirates Fall in three at Pasadena
The VC volleyball team traveled to Pasadena Wednesday, falling the the Lancers in three sets, 25-23, 25-15, 25-13. Josephine Rausch led Ventura (2-1) with eight kills and three service aces and Addison Olson recorded five winners with three blocks. Monaye Ramessar handed out 12 assists on the night for the Pirates.

The VC volleyball team traveled to Pasadena Wednesday, falling the the Lancers in three sets, 25-23, 25-15, 25-13. Josephine Rausch led Ventura (2-1) with eight kills and three service aces and Addison Olson recorded five winners with three blocks. Monaye Ramessar handed out 12 assists on the night for the Pirates.
Ventura led 19-17 and were tied at 23 late in the first set before yielding the final two points to drop the set. The second set was tied 8-8 before PCC scored nine of the next 12 points to take control. VC led the final set 8-7 when Pasadena went on a 10-1 run to put the match away.
The Pirates will look to rebound in their home opener on Friday Aug. 29 at 5:00 pm against Orange Coast.
