Women's Polo Falls at Valley
The VC women's water polo team dropped an 8-5 decision at Los Angeles Valley Wednesday afternoon in Valley Glen. Parker Pratt led the effort for Ventura with a pair of gaols, one assist. one steal and a drawn ejection and Ami Cruz grabbed three steals defesively with an ED. Abigail Humphry, Julia Glukhovsky and Allie Costa-Schmitt also netted scores for the Pirates while Bella Bruno recorded 23 saves in the cage.

VC was down 3-0 after the first quarter of play but came back to a 4-3 margin at halftime. The Monarchs scored twice in the third period against one goal for Ventura and both teams netted a score in the final eight minutes of play.
Humphry added five drawn ejections to the stat sheet on the day and Stevie Sturges and Glukhovsky each pulled in a pair of thefts.
The Pirates will next head to the Battle at the Beach at Cypress College for two games each on Friday and Saturday Oct. 24 and 25.
