VC Drops Pair at Santa Barbara Mini
The VC women's water polo team clsoed the regular season with a pair of setbacks at the Santa Barbara Mini Tournament Saturday. Julia Glukhovsky led the effort for Ventura with eight goals and eigh tdrawn ejections in the two games while Parker Pratt netted four scores. Audrey Hernandez handed out four assists in the two contests and Bella Bruno recorded 15 saves in the cage.

Julia Glukhovsky led the effort for Ventura with eight goals and eight drawn ejections in the two games while Parker Pratt netted four scores. Audrey Hernandez handed out four assists in the two contests and Bella Bruno recorded 15 saves in the cage.
VC dropped a 20-12 decision to Saddleback in the opening game of the day. Glukhovsky netted five goals and four ED's while Stevie Sturges and Abigail Humphry each scored twice. Hernandez handed out three assists and Avery Monson dropped two dimes against the Bobcats. Bruno turned back eight Saddleback shots over three quarters of play.
In the nightcap, Ventura fell to LA Valley, 13-9. Glukhovsky again led the effort wit three goals and four ED's and Pratt also recorded three scores. Monson and Glukhovsky grabbed three and two steals, respectively, and Bruno turned back seven Monarch shots in the cage.
Ventura will finish the season at home Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 6-8, in the Western State Conference Tournament at the Ventura Aquatic Center.
