Beach Volleyball Falls in SoCal Playoffs

The VC beach volleyball team had its 2026 team season come to an end Tuesday in the 3C2A Southern California Regional Playoffs at No. 1-seed MiraCosta College in Oceanside. The No. 8-ranked Pirates dropped a pair of 3-2 decisions to No. 9 Mt. San Antonio and the host Spartans, respectively. VC's Nos. 1 and 2 pairs of Shai Daniels and Viola Barrios, and Sadie Lishman and Jocelyn Alfar each recorded two wins on the day.

VC's beach volleyball duo of Shai Daniels and Viola Barrios claimed the Western State Conference Pairs Championship in tournament play Friday and Saturday at Santa Barbara's East Beach. Meanwhile, the Pirates' No. 2 pair of Sadie Lishman and Jocelyn Alfar also advanced past Day 1 to qualify for the Southern California Regionals, placing eighth in the draw.

Bach Volleyball Returns Home with WSC Split

The VC beach volleyball team returned to the Ventura Harbor Cove Courts Friday, splitting a pair of Western State Conference matches. The Pirates fell to Santa Monica 3-2 in the opener before sweeping past Cuesta 5-0. Shai Daniels and Viola Barrios produced a pair of wins on the top court while Addison Olson and Monaye Ramessar won a pair in the No. 3 slot.

The VC beach volleyball traveles to San Diego Friday, bring home a pair of wins against San Diego City and San Diego Miramar, both by 5-0 margins.

VC BVB Sweeps Pair at Mt. SAC

The Ventura College beach volleyball team swept a pair of matches Friday at Mt. San Antonio, defeating Orange Coast 5-0 before defeating the host Mounties 4-1. Madison Mierau and Beira Boyso provided the Pirates (5-1) with a pair of 2-0 sweeps while Sadie Lishman and Jocelyn Alfar, along with Addison Olson and Monaye Ramessar each had a sweep and a come-from-behind win. Shai Daniels and Viola Barrios won a pair of matches on the day, each in three sets.

VC Beach Volleyball Sweeps MSJC and Saddleback

The Pirates' beach volleyball team nearly had a perfect day Thursday, sweeping past Mt. San Jacinto and Saddleback in a pair of matches at East Beach in Santa Barbara, winning 20 of 21 sets on the day against the Eagles and Bobcats. Shai Daniels and Viola Barrios won their two matches on Court 1 by a combined 26 and 22 points, respectively.

Beach VB Splits Pair on Opening Day

The VC beach volleyball team split a pair of matches Friday on the opening day of the 2026 season. The Pirates defeated Cerritos 4-1 in the opener before dropping a narrow 3-2 decision to host Golden West in the nightcap. Sadie Lishman and Jocelyn Alfar won both their matches on the day at the No. 2 slot while each of the other Pirate pairs split their two contests in Huntington Beach.
