Three 20-point scorers lead VC past Long Beach
Ventura's Jerimiyah Smith, Snookey Wigington and Kam'Ron Cigar all had 20-point nights Friday leading the Pirates past Long Beach 102-84 on the road. VC shot 62 percent from the floor and made 86 percent of their 36 free throw attempts to pass the century mark against the Vikings. Kevin Anigbogu and Smith each pulled in a team-best six rebounds and Wigington handed out eight assists in the victory for the Pirates (11-3).

Smith led the charge making six of seven shots from the floor and shooting 10-12 at the free throw line for 23 points.
Cigar, meanwhile, shot 6-8 from the floor, including a 3-4 performance from beyond the arc, and made five of six charity shots for 20 points.
Wigington also totaled 20 points to complete the triple threat for VC.
Baron Bellamy contributed 12 points and Anigbogu netted 10 in the positive decision.
The Pirates take a short break for the Christmas holiday before hosting College of the Sequoias at the Athletic Event Center on Tuesday Dec. 30.
