Pirate Golf at WSC Event at Cypress Ridge

The Ventura College Golf Team finished third of eight teams in the Western State Conference event at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande hosted by Allan Hancock. Donovan Chappell shot a 1-over 73 to tie for third individually, helping the Pirates to a team score of 310, six shots off second place. Freddie Carcamo and Matthew Jones each carded 6-over 78's to tie for eighth.

Canyons won the event with a team mark of 296 followed by Santa Barbara's 304. Glendale was fourth with a 321.

Nathan Schultz completed VC's team score with an 81. Other Pirate competitors included Bradley Humphrey and Caden Raines who each posted scores of 82.

VC next travels to Bakersfield for the WSC event at Rio Bravo Country Club on Monday March 9.
