VC Continues WSC Dominance WIth Sweep

The Ventura College men's tennis team posted their fifth straight sweep in Western State Conference play Tuesday afternoon, defeating Glendale 9-0 at the VC Tennis Center. The Prates (8-0, 5-0) remained undefeated on the season with the win. Solal Cherqui (No. 1), Augustin Lestelle (No. 4) and Rodrigo Perdigao (No. 6) all won their singles matches love and love. Lestelle and Perdigao also teamed up for an 8-0 victory in No. 3 doubles.

Adrien Etiemble won his No. 3 singles match one and love while Rafael Dunan prevailed in No. 5 singles, love and one. Priyank Soni had the closest match of the day, winning in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-3.

Etiemble and Jakob Rinschen won in No. 1 doubles, 8-1 and Alexander Martin and Manu Rowe triumphed in No. 2 doubles, 8-2.

Ventura heads north to Santa Barbara on Thursday March 8 for a 2:00 pm conference match-up against the Vaqueros.
