The VC men's water polo team placed four players on the All-Western State Conference first-team as selected by conference coaches in November. Transfer sophomore Andre Galvez leads the list of Pirate honorees, along with sophomore Zane Herman and freshmen Jaeger Gonzales and Christian Scanlan. Ventura finished as runner-up in the WSC in 2021, its best finish since 2013.

Galvez scored five goals in the game and Jaeger Gonzales turned back 11 shots in the cage for Ventura, who advances to Saturday's WSC Championship Game against Cuesta.
