Men's Polo captures WSC opener at Citrus
The VC men's water polo team began Western State Conference play Wednesday with a resounding 25-13 victory at Citrus College. Boaz Biglin found the inside of the cage five times to lead Ventura (9-5, 1-0) while Nico Rosado and Patrik Bötkös each netted four goals. Daniel Vadas scored three times. Bryce Biglin recorded nine saves in the goal for the Pirates.

Bo. Biglin scored twice in the opening eight minutes as VC led 8-4 after one quarter before outscoring the Owls 7-1 in the second period. Bötkös and Rosado each scored twice in the stanza to help produce a 15-5 halftime lead for the Pirates.
With the game in hand, the Pirates breezed through the final two periods to post the double-digit win.
Bo. Biglin scored on five of six shots in the game and added an assist and two steals. Rosado, meanwhile, added three drawn ejections to his goal total and Vadas had four assists and four steals to go along with his three scores. Bötkös added a pair of ED's.
Owen Patterson scored twice with three assists and two steals and Wyatt Dingman also found the inside of the cage twice with four thefts. Milos Djanic had two goals and two steals while Caleb Graffious also netted a pair of scores.
The Pirates next host Santa Monica at the Ventura Aquatic Center on Wednesday Oct. 8 at 3:00 pm.
