The Ventura College tennis team was rolling in 2020, largely due to great team depth. Part of that depth was No. 2 singles and doubles player Charles De La Laurencie. The sophomore from Vaureal, France followed up his WSC semifinals appearance in 2019 with a perfect 8-0 in singles during the abbreviated season, including a 2-0 mark playing in the No. 1 slot. He also teamed up with Yuya Koide to post a 7-1 mark in No. 2 doubles on the season. For his efforts, Charles has been named this week's M & M Sports VC Pirate Student Athletes of the Week.
