Pirates Compete at WSC Preliminaries

The VC men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Western State Conference Preliminaries Friday at the College o fthe Canyons in Santa Clarita. Most of the competition was about qualifying for the conference finals on April 29, but five events were contested to the end for both the men and women. Charlotte Allison and Stina Johansson claimed golds for the Pirate women while Josh Weinerth grabbed a bronze for the Ventura men.

VC Women Tie for 1st at WSC-Coast Track Meet

The Ventura College women's track and field team had an amazing day Friday, earning 151 points to claim a first place tie with host Cuesta at the Western State Conference Coast meet in San Luis Obispo. Stina Johansson was a triple winner on the day while Charlotte Allison claimed two golds. Aubrianna Smith, Ariana Vera and Citllali Cortez also produced first place finishes. Danilo Juarez recorded the Pirate men's lone gold medal on the day.

Pirates Compete at APU's Franson Classic

The VC men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Franson Classic at Asuza Pacific University on Saturday with more solid results from multiple athletes. Aubriana Smith and Ariana Vera headlined accomplishments on the women's side in the 100m and 200m, respectively. Meanwhile Jaedon Rogers continued to excel in the triple jump and Ramiro Mateos made a strong debut in the 3000m steeplechase for the Pirate men.

Pirate track & Field Opens Season at WSC Relays

Conditions were great in Lancaster Friday as the VC men's and women's track and field teams opened their 2022 campaign at the Western State Conference Relays hosted by Antelope Valley College. Cassandra O'Reilly and Charlotte Allison both claimed golds for the Ventura women while Jaedon Rogers pcked up a win for the men as a number of athletes turned in solid performances on opening day.
