Women's Tennis Falls in Regular Season Finale

The VC women's tennis dropped a 6-3 decision to visiting Glendale Tuesday in the Pirates' regular season finale. Isabella Avila won her No. 5 singles match for the Pirates lone victory on the court against the Vaqueros.

Ventura Drops Close Contest at Canyons

For the second time this season, the Pirates' women's tennis team dropped a close 5-4 decision against College of the Canyons. After falling behind in doubles, the Pirates battled back to even the match before falling. Sherry Bonilla and Ella Morgan led the effort with a win in No. 2 doubles while Isabella DeRosa produced a victory in No. 4 singles to begin the VC comeback bid.

VC Women Blank Antelope Valley, 9-0

The Pirates' women's tennis team blanked Antelope Valley 9-0 Thursday in the High Desert. Dulce Contreras was one of a number of double-winners on the day for VC, winning in No. 1 doubles with Chandra Padua and also claiming victory in No. 2 singles. Padua, Isabella DeRosa, Isabella Avila and Ella Morgan also won in singles and doubles against the Marauders.

Pirtes Sweep Mt. SAC, 9-0

The VC women's tennis team went on the road Friday and swept Mt. San Antonio on the Mounties home court, 9-0. The Pirates had eight different players comtribute to the win, including Adrianna Padilla, who won in No. 2 doubles with Isabella Avila.

Pirates Drop Another Tight Contest

For the second time in three days the Pirates' women's tennis team dropped a tightly contested 5-4 decision in Western State Conference play Thursday, losing to Canyons at the VC Tennis Center. Dulce Contreras was a double winner for the Pirates in No. 2 doubles with Isabella DeRosa and in No. 3 singles, while Isabella Avila and Adrianna Padilla also eacned singles points for Ventura.

Ventura Wins Third Straight 8-1 Over AVC

The Ventura College women's tennis team won its third straight contest Thursday, defeating Antelope Valley 8-1 at the VC Tennis Center. Dulce Contreras helped lead the way with a win in No. 2 doubles with Isabella DeRosa and a victory in No. 3 singles.

Women's Tennis Splits Matches Thursday and Friday

The VC women's tennis team split a pair of matches Thursday and Friday, falling at Los Angeles Mission on the first day before rebounding to defeat Fullerton in the home opener. Adrianna Padilla took her No. 6 singles match to a tiebreaker against Mission before winning her No. 4 singles match Friday against the Hornets. Kira Branson got her first win of the season in No. 1 singles against Fullerton.

Ventura sophomore Chandra Padua helped lead the Pirates to a 7-2 season-opening win over Santa Monica Tuesday with a doubles win with Isabella DeRosa and a singles win against the Corsairs.
Women's Tennis Opens Season with Win

The Pirates' women's tennis team opened the 2026 campaign with a solid 7-2 victory over visiting Santa Monica Tuesday afternoon at the VC Tennis Center. Chandra Padua and ISabella DeRosa helped lead the way with a doubles win together and individual singles wins. Ella Morgan and Isabella Avila made their Pirate debut winning in doubles and singles in the Western State Conference triumph.
